Edward K. Mudibo Profiles

 

Mr. Edward K. Mudibo has been the Managing Director- East Africa Tea Trade Association (EATTA) Limited since February, 2012. Mr. Mudibo doubles up as the Chairman of the Agricultural Industry Network and represents EATTA in the Board of the Shippers Council of East Africa.

Prior to that, Mr. Mudibo was the Principal Consultant and Managing Director of the Enterprise Skills Development Consultants Africa Limited.

The career of Mr. Mudibo spans 27 years. Until 16th February, 2007 and for six years Mr. Edward Mudibo was the Managing Director of Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Cooperatives (KUSCCO) Limited, the umbrella organization for savings and credit co-operatives in Kenya.

Mr. Mudibo has previously served as a Co-operative Officer at the Provincial Co-operative Office in Nairobi, Lecturer at the Co-operative College of Kenya, National Expert with an ILO, UNDP and World Bank Project, the Co-operative Management Improvement Project and thereafter Education and Training Officer, Education and Training Manager and Executive Assistant  with the Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Cooperatives.

Mr. Mudibo is an alumni of Nairobi High School and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Kurukshetra University and Master of Arts (M.A) in Rural Economics and Cooperatives from Agra University. India   He has extensive experience in Community Development, Cooperative Management, Rural Development and the development of SACCO’s and MFIs.

Mr. Edward Mudibo has previously served as a delegate of the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU), Secretary to the African Confederation of Cooperative Savings and Credit Associations (ACCOSCA), member of the East African Regional Association of SACCO’s, Co-operative Legislation Review Task forces, Council member of the Co-operative College of Kenya, delegate of the Co-operative Bank of Kenya and Chairman of Kilele SACCO. 

 

Mr. Mudibo was the Operational and Governance specialist in a landmark consultancy which assessed and made recommendations on how to improve the financial and operational efficiency of Co-operative societies in Tanzania. He has also conducted Consultancies and training in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Ghana, Senegal, Swaziland and South Africa.
